E plină lumea de coach-eri care te învăța că trebuie să-ți setezi țeluri în viață. Și să-ți pui energia și puterea de muncă în scopul atingerii acelor țeluri. Eu zic să nu-i credeți. Bine, eu zic să nu frecventați coach-eri, dar asta e altceva.
Be patient. No matter what. Don’t badmouth: Assign responsibility, never blame. Say nothing behind another’s back you’d be unwilling to say, in exactly the same tone and language, to his face. Never assume the motives of others are, to them, less noble than yours are to you. Expand your sense of the possible. Don’t trouble yourself with matters you truly cannot change. Expect no more of anyone than you yourself can deliver. Tolerate ambiguity. Laugh at yourself frequently. Concern yourself with what is right rather than who is right. Never forget that, no matter how certain, you might be wrong. Give up blood sports. Remember that your life belongs to others as well. Do not endanger it frivolously. And never endanger the life of another. Never lie to anyone for any reason. (Lies of omission are sometimes exempt.) Learn the needs of those around you and respect them. Avoid the pursuit of happiness. Seek to define your mission and pursue that. Reduce your use of the first personal pronoun. Praise at least as often as you disparage. Never let your errors pass without admission. Become less suspicious of joy. Understand humility. Forgive. Foster dignity. Live memorably. Love yourself. Endure.
Evidențierile îmi aparțin. La ele revin, pe unele nu doresc să nu le pierd din vedere, altele nu-mi sunt naturale, dar le doresc uriaș.

Naval Ravikant a vorbit la The Knowledge Project, podcastul lui Shane Parrish vreo două ore. Printre altele, despre sistemul actual de învățământ. Sigur, se referea la cel american, dar în satul global în care trăim, perfect aplicabil sistemului românesc.

Seth are talentul rar de a pune în cuvinte lucruri pe care le-ai gândit sau experimentat și tu, personal, cu o concizie și acuratețe pe care o admir și pentru care îl invidiez în egală măsură.
Dar când regăsești pas cu pas în cuvintele omului propriile-ți tribulații pe marginea unei alegeri complicate, zâmbești larg-larg și recitești și te uimești și te simți, măcar pentru câteva zeci de minute, foarte-foarte isteață. A se citi capacitată de Sistemul 2. 🙂
These are the decisions that are forced on us, the ones that feel unfair, the ones where there are no seemingly good outcomes.
How to proceed?
- Acknowledge that it sucks. That you’d rather not be in this situation. That it’s not what you hoped for. You can return to this step as often as you like, but don’t permit it to have anything to do with the other steps in the process.
- Consider the sunk costs. The things you did to get to this point, the hard work and investments you made to have what you had until recently. Now, ignore them. They’re sunk. They have no connection to the decision you need to make.
- Outline your options. None of them are as happy as you’d hope. None are perfect. All involve a measure of discomfort. That’s okay, because that’s what’s on offer. Write them out.
- Now, consider each option based on the future, not the past. Ignoring the sunk costs, ignoring what you deserve, which of these options offers you the happiest series of future days, weeks and months? Choose that one. Don’t look back. Go.

Aseară am văzut The Human Stain, ecranizarea din 2003 a cărţii omonine a lui Philip Roth. Lung, 1 ora şi 40 de min, filmul mi s-a părut neterminat. Da, ştiu că începe cu finalul, cu moartea, că se întoarce frecvent, în bucle temporare, spre a relata circumstanţele – pata, nefericirile, inadecvarea, dar ….are probleme de comunicare.
